John Michael Bublich

John Michael Bublich passed away peacefully in his sleep Thursday, December 1, 2022, at his home in Butte. He was born March 26, 1964, in Butte, Montana, to John J. and Marlene Bublich. It was the best surprise birthday gift his father ever received that year. He attended Butte schools and graduated from Butte High School in 1982. He then attended Montana Tech and the University of Montana. John worked for various State agencies in Montana. From there, he moved on to Minnesota, Colorado, Arizona and California, before moving back to Butte 14 years ago to be close to his family, where he was working as a Tax Auditor for the Montana Department of Revenue at the time of his death. John took such great pride in his home and yard and would decorate for every holiday, inside and out, a tradition in which he inherited from his father. His favorite holiday was Christmas, and his home was one of the best decorated and lit up houses on the upper West Side, just ask his neighbors. He always made sure his neighbors had lights and decorations up as well and had been known a time or two to give them some sort of lights and/or decorations and offering to help put them up. In the summertime, he spent countless hours in his yard tending to his flowers, another tradition he inherited from his father. He also loved to share his love of flowers and plants with his neighbors. Again, one of the best, well-maintained yards and flowers on the upper West Side. Some of John’s favorite past times were family vacations and camping up at Canyon Creek during the summers. He loved spending the holidays and birthdays with his family. He also enjoyed going up and visiting his youngest sister Dana and family in the summer when they were out camping in the Big Hole. John’s greatest joys were his dogs that were his world and meant everything to him. We know, for a fact, that he is in all his glory to be with all his furbabies in Heaven… Graci, Princess, Tippy and Daisy. John was preceded in death by his mom, Marlene Bublich, and sister, Gaylene Erzinger. He is survived by his father, John J. Bublich of Butte; brother Bill Bublich of Surprise, Arizona; sisters, Deb Earhart (Lee) and Dana McMahon (Kevin), both of Butte; brother-in-law, Steve Erzinger of Firestone, Colorado. He is also survived by special nephews and nieces: Chris Santmyer (Lindsey) and Jennifer Wells (Manning); Kreg and Clint Earhart; Ashley and Kennadie McMahon; Kody and Makayla Erzinger. John also leaves behind special friends Rainy Aleksich, Deb Martinez and Kerry Bolmeier. John, we miss you like crazy and your goofy sense of humor. Until we meet again… we love you, Shuggs. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of John’s life will be celebrated at a later date.
