Austin Dana Brisbo

Austin Dana Brisbo was born on October 21, 1974. He was born in Butte to Daisy Mae Brisbo and John Wayne Bercier. Everyone who knew him is heartbroken to hear of his passing on Monday, February 3rd of 2025. This is now a day that no family member will forget. Austin grew up close to his older sister, Christina. They were raised by their mother and then later with their grandmother, Inez and uncle, Destry. As a young adult, Austin would test for his GED, that he finished quickly, and passed with flying colors. He was very intelligent, and it would show in his many areas of work. Austin fought wild land fires, was a logger, a roofer, he built trussells and many other labor jobs. He was one of the hardest workers and used to pride himself on being able to out-work everyone else. At a young age he met his best friend and brother, Joel. Him and Joel went on hundreds, if not countless, hunting and fishing adventures together. He was always looking forward to hunting season and could out-fish anyone. He also loved to take kids out to fish, whether it was his best friends’ kids, his nephew Thaine or his grandkids. He even taught his grandkids once how to make a kite out of a fishing pole. He was always up for an outdoor adventure and many times that included his good friend, Veronica, and him, waking the kids up at any time to go sledding. Some of his happiest moments were those he spent outdoors. Austin was so proud to be a father. First, to his only son Branden. Austin always looked at Branden with tremendous pride in his eyes and would brag about how strong and talented he was in his fighting career. Then, to his Megi May. She would become his source of peace and brightness throughout years of his life. Finally, to his Sky Pie. Sky was a daddy’s girl from the start and spent her childhood clinging tight to him any chance she had. They will never forget his loud call to their brother, “BOY”, the one on one hunting trips he had with him, all the fishing trips, how content he would seem to kickback on the couch and watch outdoors channels, the way he would always blast that Nickelback CD one particular summer, cuddling on the couch watching Price is Right with his daughter, all the funny things he would do to mess with them as kids, or the way he seemed to be able to just feel when they were struggling and would give strong, wise and loving words. He later became a grandpa, and it filled him with so much pride. He loved spending nights at his daughter Meghan’s house, so he could wake up to his grandkids ready for him to chase them around the house. He would pick them up tightly anytime he saw them and none of us will ever forget the sound of his voice bellowing when playing with them. Austin is the funniest person many of us have ever met. His sense of humor could match anyone’s. He loved to laugh and would sometimes have you laughing until you cried. Anyone who came across him was in for a laugh. He also has a huge heart and one of the brightest souls. Even when sometimes the world didn’t fit into that, he never lost that part of him. Austin is meeting in heaven, his mother, Daisy Mae Brisbo, his grandmother, Inez Bagley, his auntie, Lulu Sullivan, his nephews, Tyler Worth and Thaine Williams, his children’s great-grandfather who loved him very much, Helmer Lasell and his many friends he called brothers, Charlie (Chuckles) Thompson, David Horsley, Tom and Janice Hahn, James Griffin (Grif) and many others. Austin is leaving behind his three children, Branden Brisbo, Meghan Brisbo and Sky Brisbo, his dad, John Bercier, his sister, Christina Brisbo, his best friend and brother, Joel Worth, his lifelong friend and the auntie to his children, Veronica Lasell, his grandkids, Laylin Murphy, Maximus Murphy, Kruize Mickens, Amias Rangel and Amriella Armstrong, his niece and nephew, Caitlin Brisbo and Thunder Gransberry, his uncle, Destry Brisbo, his cousins, Angelina Dempsey, Steven, Tayla and Teonna Matte and many other friends who he shared lots of life with. I want to thank anyone who was a friend to our dad, anyone who showed care to him, stuck up for him, protected him and loved him. Funeral service for Austin will be conducted Tuesday, February 11th at 1 pm in Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
