Daisy Ruth Rahman

Daisy Ruth Rahman was born on August 1, 1944 and passed peacefully on May 26, 2020. She was the only Child of Ruth and Richard Hill but the youngest of six siblings. She attended schools in Butte until she went to live with relatives in Wisconsin. That is where she became a Green Bay Packer Fan. After graduating high school with honors, she then enlisted in the Army and was honorably discharged in 1965. She then married Ed Butanavage. Daisy and Ed welcomed a baby girl in January of 1966. This little family spent great times with her sister’s family camping, hunting and gathering for all holidays. She worked at Barrett Animal Hospital, Harkins Wholesale and Silver Bow General Hospital during these years. Daisy and Ed divorced in 1979. She then began working for St. James Healthcare. Daisy met and married Ray Rahman in 1985. They enjoyed great times together and were part of the Drum and Bugle Corp. He passed away in 1992. The next love in her life was John McCarthy. She moved into the Rosalee Manor where she was residing at the time of her death. In her younger years she loved to play softball, camp, fish, hunt and dance. Daisy either had a dachshund or a cat as a loving pet. She loved to play cards and fake gamble on her computer. “Shady Lady” was her last and most beloved pet. She had the greatest sense of humor and was kind to everyone. She mostly loved to travel with her daughter Joell. Daisy is survived by her daughter, Joell, granddaughter, Melissa (Laramie), grandson, Jonathon (Paula), great-granddaughters Lucia and Myka, numerous nieces and nephews and her cousin Diahna. Special people in her life were Pat McCarthy, Pat Watson, Betty and Mr. and Mrs. John Fagan. Daisy was preceded in death by her father and mother, Richard and Ruth Hill and also her brothers and sisters, Olaf, Elda, Mel, Anita and Kenny. She also lost nieces Dawn, Doreen, Sandy and nephew Michael. Special thanks to Nikki, Virginia, Amanda and Priscella for all the love and special care. Per her wishes, Daisy has been cremated and no services are to be held. In her memory please donate to the charity of your choice.
