Linda Charlene Booth

Linda C. Booth, passed away January 25, 2025 at the Butte Veterans Home with her loving husband Bill by her side. Linda was born on December 17, 1946, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Waldo and Ardys Gragson. Linda earned a certificate in Interior Design/Home furnishing in Nebraska. She then became a buyer for MD&F/May Company in Denver, Colorado and took on sales representative positions later in life. During her time in Denver, Colorado, Linda met the love of her life Bill Booth. After only seven days of getting to know each other, Bill proposed and they were married on May 25, 1974, in Butte. Shortly after Linda and Bill welcomed their only child, their son Todd. Linda loved being outdoors with Bill. Together they traveled to Alaska, Whidbey Island WA, where she bragged about catching the biggest fish. Bill worked out of state before he retired and during that time Linda traveled to Arizona and Nevada from time to time to be with him. Once Bill retired Linda and Bill pulled their trailer and traveled across the West Coast and up North on Highway 101 to Poulsbo, Washington. Linda also enjoyed going down to the Big Hole River to fish and camp and learn from one the best to ever set foot in the Big Hole River (her husband). Linda would remind Bill often of how they floated the river eighteen times in one summer. Linda liked to sit at the trailer and read or even try to get deer to eat out of her hand while Bill was out fishing. Linda also enjoyed traveling back to Nebraska to spend time with her cousin Marcia and other relatives and friends. While living in Butte, Linda worked at Buttrey’s Suburban Furniture Store in the Butte Plaza Mall. She also worked at the Toy & Hobby shop at the Butte Plaza Mall, which her mother and stepfather owned. Linda had the pleasure of working for Guy Ossello at Ossellos in Butte and at Herberger’s when they first opened in Butte. Linda truly loved her work and profession. One of Linda’s greatest achievements was the title of Grandma. When her grandchildren came around, they would spend time going through catalogs looking for the next great toy. Grandma Linda, as the kids called her, always had a special toy box at the house that the boys could get a little treat out of whenever they were over visiting her. The word spoiled was an understatement when it came to grandchildren. Linda is preceded in death by her mother, father, and stepfather Burdette Lundberg, father and mother in-law William and Sadie Booth, brother Gary Gragson and sister-in-law Lanoma, brother and sister in-law Ray and Dorothy Booth, aunts, Arlene, Elvira, Cousin Marcia Carmann and her granddaughter Berkley Booth. Linda is survived by her husband Bill, son Todd and daughter in-law Amanda, grandson’s Brenner and Branley Booth. The family would personally like to give a thank you and love to Enhabit Home Health & Hospice, Butte VA Home and Office Employees, as well as the excellent care from the nurses, cooks and housekeeping. Linda loved all of them and they loved her. Cremation has taken place. Private memorial services will be conducted. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Montana Tech Golf, Montana Tech Foundation, 1300 West Park Street, Butte, MT 59701.
