Scott Robert Stuart

Scott Robert Stuart, age 55, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. He was born in Missoula, MT on November 10, 1970 to Ed Delzer and Peggy Russell. At a very early age, he was adopted by Robert G H Stuart and Christine Stuart. He remained in Butte, MT for the majority of his childhood. Scott attended Longfellow Elementary School, and graduated from Butte High School. Scott enjoyed learning welding and machine shop in High School that furthered his careers as a machinist, fabrication engineer, and finally a project manager. The majority of his working career was spent in Carlin, Elko and Winnemucca NV, Salt Lake City UT, and finally for Loenbro in Moses Lake, WA. Scott was known for being a very dedicated employee and his work was his passion. Scott married Noreen Holten and had a beautiful daughter Shyanne Stuart. After Noreen’s passing, Scott then married Aaryn Mantha Hayden and made a life in Butte, MT. Scott loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, and especially SXS riding. He enjoyed fixing up and racing dirt cars. Scott loved to go to numerous Ghost towns with his father Ed. Scott and his wife Aaryn enjoyed their road trips together playing “Slug Bug, No Slugs Back”. Staying a kid at heart was of utmost importance to him, because trying to pull Scott away from his work was challenging, but he made sure to make special memories with his friends and family. Scott battled esophageal cancer back in 2018, but he was such a strong man, he did not let that get the best of him. Scott is survived by his loving wife Aaryn Stuart, daughter Shyanne Stuart, step-daughters Aspen Hayden and Shelby Andrene, his sister Gail Stuart, brother Drew Stuart, Step-sons Ronald (Kristen) Schofield, Robert (Ashley) Ballard, and Ryan Ballard, and In-Laws Thomas (Layne) Mantha, and many other family and friends. Scott will be greatly missed by all of those that he left behind. As his daughter Shyanne would say, “It is not what we are born with, it’s who we live for.” To all of those that loved Scott, if you have a special memory please feel free to comment.
