Albert Guidi
December 17, 1925 - May 29, 2018
Mr. Albert Guidi passed away early Tuesday morning, May 29, 2018 at The Springs of Butte. He was born in Butte December 17, 1925 to Italian immigrants, Abondio and Mary (Francini) Guidi. Al attended the Whittier Grade School and Butte High School. He served his country in the United States Army from 1950 until 1952 and following his honorable discharge worked as a clerk for the Union Pacific Railroad for over 40 years. Al married the love of his life, Mary Gwendolyn George on September 3, 1950 here in Butte and she preceded him in death on April 12, 2O14. Al and Mary were longtime and active members of Journey Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed working with young people and coached football at Whittier Elementary School. Mary and he were faithful Sunday School teachers and drove the church van for many years. They enjoyed trips to Hawaii and the New England States. He and Mary enjoyed golfing, family get-togethers, playing games with friends, spending time at Glacier Bible Camp, rides around Montana and simply being together. Al was a man of few words and he had a kind gentle spirit. He loved the Lord with all his heart. Al is survived by Mary's brother, John George, and sisters-in-law Donna George, Jean and Len Fairfield, Joan and Dave Price and also several nieces and nephews including, Tami Farabee and her family of Butte, Gary Conway of Butte, Dan Guidi of Butte, Terry Guidi of Kalispell, and Dale Guidi of Livingston. Cremation has taken place.ln lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Friends of Hospice.
