Harry G. Brainard

May 7, 1931 - November 30, 2021

Mr. Harry G. Brainard passed away Tuesday evening, November 30, 2021 at his home in Butte. He was born in Bozeman, Montana Thursday, May 7, 1931 to Harry D. and Ida M. (Warren) Brainard. Harry graduated from Butte High School in 1949 and served his country in the United States Army and on June 28, 1956 married Mary Jane Karna in the Unity Lutheran Church on Broadway Street. Harry worked at the smelter in Anaconda for nine years then twenty years in the Berkeley Pit. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane Brainard & grandson Rory Dean Brainard. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Kelly Brainard of Glendale, Arizona and grandchildren, Caitlin and Allen Peterson of Missoula. The Brainard family cannot thank Senior Solutions staff enough for the professional care, guidance and kindness provided to Harry and his family over the past several years. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
