June 3, 1939 - January 9, 2021
Jean Elizabeth Gerhardt. As a teen she volunteered as a nurse’s aide at St Ann’s hospital while attending and graduating from Anaconda Central High School in 1957. She married a few days after high school graduation the day before her 18th birthday in June of 1957 to Don Morrow. She lived in Anaconda MT at that time. In 1965 they got the traveling bug. The next few years they followed construction which took her to California, Southern Oregon and finally to Baton Rouge Louisiana where she worked at the Howard Johnson’s Restaurant as a waitress. In the 7 years they were traveling she was blessed with 5 children – 4 girls and 1 boy. In 1971 she returned to Montana to live in Butte while raising her 5 children. She took on a job at Terri’s restaurant and worked there for many years then eventually went to work at the Derby Steak House. Retiring she landed in Post falls Idaho to be close to all of her 5 children, 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and even a couple great great grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, boating, water skiing and most of all she loved the sun. She spent many days at Fairmont hot springs soaking in the rays. Getting a late start but none the less enjoyed riding atv’s, snowmobiles and side by sides. She just loved getting outdoors with the fresh air. During all this she had divorced and eventually remarried a wonderful man (Paul Mehring) who accepted her large noisy and crazy family. She spent the last years of her life in Idaho surrounded by all of her children and grandchildren that she loved so much. When the time came she was ready. Ready to be in the presence of God, She summoned all of her children on January 6th at 3:30 in the morning so that she could say her goodbyes and to let us know that we were all loved. She was ready to meet Jesus, she asked us what she needed to do to go. We all said to pray and ask Jesus to come to take her. It was shortly after that that she called on Jesus to take her home. On January 9th (Mom) Jean Elizabeth Gerhardt went to meet her Lord Jesus Christ.
