    Leslie Elizabeth Wroblewski

    February 4, 1949 - November 17, 2015

Leslie E. Wroblewski passed away Tuesday evening at her home in Butte surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Butte February 4, 1949 one of two girls to Wardie and Margaret Waugh. She attended local schools and was extremely close to her sister Sandra Scholler until her death in 2009. Leslie is also preceded in death by her husband Richard “Dick” Wroblewski who passed away in 2008, her parents and a niece, Ethel Scholler. Leslie loved Butte and worked as a waitress in many local restaurants but the 4-B’s was her favorite. She also served as the dog catcher in Anaconda for several years during the 1970’s and was the primary day care provider to her grandchildren and was more like a mother than a grandmother to them. She was the matriarch of the family and showed up for every event, usually about a half hour early. She treated each person in her life like they were the most important and made everyone feel special. She dearly loved Christmas and her lunch outings every Wednesday with her friends. She is survived by her daughter, Jolene Heaney of Butte, granddaughters: Tristina Lancaster, Tanisha Heaney, Miranda Heaney, Mataya Lancaster and Janaya Heaney all of Butte, great-grandchildren, Zoey and Bo Maloney. Also surviving are her brother-in-law, Daniel Scholler of Ennis, her nieces and nephews: Margaret and Vernon Vogel of Big Piney, WY, Danielle and Derek Rudzinski of Ennis, Jennifer Scholler of Virginia City, Wardie and Tina Scholler of Butte and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Other survivors include her step-children, Kevin, Laura and Brenda Wroblewski and their families and her very best friend since childhood, Janice Bailey Swain of Yakima, Washington. Memorials may be made to Pintler Pets.
