Virginia Ann "Ginny" Burke Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Virginia Ann “Ginny” Burke passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Big Sky Senior Living in Butte. She was born in Butte Saturday, November 12, 1932 to Albert and Minnie (Moyler) Marshall. Ginny attended Butte Schools and graduated from Butte High School. She married James Simpson Burke in St. John’s Episcopal Church on June 20, 1954 and together they made their home and raised their four children in Butte. Ginny worked as a bank teller, starting out at First National Bank. She also worked at Buttrey Suburban in the Plaza Mall. She and Jim enjoyed traveling and especially enjoyed their gambling adventures with friends to Wendover and Jackpot, Nevada. Ginny was the consummate grandmother and spent much of her time babysitting and attending grandchildren functions. She was a member of the Red Hats and served as President of the Residents Board at Big Sky Senior Living. She also served as a volunteer at Big Sky. Ginny was a longtime and active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim who passed away June 21, 2003, her son-in-law, Joe Richards, grandson, Joey Richards and her only sister, Margaret Marshall. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James and Kara Burke of Denver, Colorado, daughters and sons-in-law, Susan Richards of Butte, Linda and Dean Waltee of Butte, Lori and Darren Eisele of Denver, grandchildren, Dean and Kari Waltee, Zach and Allie Waltee, Jennifer and Josh Coulombe, Airika and Ryan Domene, Devin and Kyle Mortinsen, Easton and Brea Eisele and Breanne and Nicholas Walker. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Coulombe, Ryker Coulombe, Bryant Waltee, Brayden Waltee, Emma Domene, Mason Domene, Olivia Domene, Brecken Mortinsen, Tucker Mortinsen, Rocky Eisele and Wells Walker. Ginny’s remains are in Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home where friends may call Thursday morning, November 11th beginning at 11 o’clock. Graveside funeral services will be conducted that afternoon at 2 o’clock in Sunset Memorial Park with Pastor Matthias Krier officiating.
