In Loving Memory Of Connie Anderson Bassett It’s with deep sadness and tender gratitude for her life that we share the passing of Connie Anderson Bassett. Born on July 7, 1948, in American Fork, Utah, Connie grew up in Pleasant Grove, where she formed the foundation of her adventurous and joyful spirit. She was the cherished daughter of DeLeal and Myrtle Anderson and was preceded in death by her sister Helen Bird Hernandez. She is survived by her brother Bill Anderson, her devoted husband Ike Bassett, and her children Brenda (Michael) Zeigler, Michael (Jen) Bassett, and Jeremy Bassett. Connie was blessed with nine beloved grandchildren who brought her endless joy. Connie married the love of her life, Ike, on August 4, 1967. Together, they built a beautiful life, moving to Butte, Montana, in 1971 to begin their family journey. Connie was a dedicated and nurturing mother who stayed home with her children during their formative years, shaping them with her warmth, love, and a bit of her signature mischievous humor. She held several positions guiding youth in the local ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Once her children were older, she entered the workforce, thriving at Blue Range Engineering and later Farmers Insurance. Connie’s life was one of adventure and creativity. After her children left home, she and Ike lived in Nye, Montana, and Elko, Nevada, as Ike pursued his career in mining. Throughout her life, Connie found joy in sewing and quilting, passions that took her on travels to quilt shows in Oregon. Her love for family and adventure guided her to Alaska, Oregon, New York, Utah, Nebraska, and Idaho, where she made countless memories with loved ones. Connie was lovingly known to all as “The Dude,” a nickname that captured her sharp wit, mischievous spirit, and unparalleled sense of humor. Whether she was laughing with family, creating beautiful quilts, or embracing life’s adventures, she brought warmth, joy, and light into the lives of those around her. We will deeply miss her infectious laugh, her creative spark, and the way she made every person she met feel special. Connie leaves behind a legacy of love, humor, and strength that will live on in all who knew her. The family will have a private burial. A celebration of Connie’s life will be held in the Spring of 2025. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Memory Care unit of The Springs, in Butte, Montana. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at The Springs for loving Connie in her final months like she was their own. Rest easy, Dude. You are forever in our hearts.
