Ronda Joan Stark

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ronda Joan Burnside Stark, who left this world peacefully June 12th, 2026 in Butte, Montana. She was surrounded by her loving children. Ronda was born in Driggs, Idaho on May 2, 1951 to Lenace and Dorlis Joan Burnside. Ronda lived a life defined by love, devotion, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to the people she cherished most. If you knew our mom, you knew that family was everything to her. She loved with her whole heart and found her greatest purpose in being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She often joked that the reason she had nine children was because she never wanted to be alone. Behind that joke, however, was a beautiful truth: she genuinely loved being surrounded by the people she loved most. For her, home was more than a place, it was a feeling. It was where family gathered, stories were shared, laughter echoed through the rooms, and everyone knew they belonged. She had a remarkable gift for making each person feel loved, valued, and important. No matter how old her children became, she never stopped being their mother, offering guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love. She wasn't afraid of a full house, noisy gatherings, or the joyful chaos that comes with a large family. In fact, that was where she was happiest. The sound of her children, grandchildren, and loved ones around her brought her immense joy. She built a life centered on relationships because loving people was what she did best. Ronda was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Dorlis Joan Burnside; father, Lenace Burnside; aunt, LaVone Hills; sister, Reesa Monahan; sister-in-law, Nelda Burnside; mother-in-law, Rita Stark; father-in-law, Donald Stark; and the love of her life,Duane Stark, whom she missed dearly every day since his passing. She leaves behind her nine children: Nikki (Brian) Boucher, Sami (Denver) Hamrick, Brian (Tina) Stark, Desi (Kelly) Stark, Sara (Joe) Burke, Steve Stark, Craig (Sierra) Stark, Aimee (Neil) Penn, and Kelsey Stark. She is also survived by her siblings; Randy (Angie) Burnside, Dena (Jim) High, Ricky Burnside, Rawd Burnside. Her uncle; Dan (Ann) Atchley, Layn (Annie) Atchley, aunt; Letha (Dan) Whitmore and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. Today, the family Ronda leaves behind stands as a testament to the life she lived and the love she gave so freely. We are her legacy. Each of us carries a piece of her heart, her strength, and her compassion. Though we mourn her absence, we find comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with our dad, her eternal companion, as well as her mother and the many loved ones who went before her. Her love will continue to live on in the family she built, the memories she created, and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished. "To the world, she was one person, but to us, she was the world.” Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. A viewing will be held at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, and a luncheon will be provided afterward for family and friends. All who knew and loved Ronda are welcome to attend.
